Ben Atkinson is a student at the University of Lincoln. He has written two published novels and is currently working a travelogue. His third novel is due in 2013.
Ben's second novel Walking on Cinders is
a rousing story set in the imagined near future. It brings together
three British soldiers with the unlikeliest of companions, United
Forces singing sweetheart, Miss Marmalade. With England's capital
battered by three years of bitter conflict, the trio find themselves
and Miss Marmalade at the forefront of a battle bringing the dark days
of war to an end. With deceit and corruption all around, can the
comrades find peace for themselves and for war-torn Europe?
At age sixteen, Ben published his debut novel, The Kraken's Curse. Now in second edition as an e-book, The Kraken's Curse tells a yarn set in the fishing community of England's South West Coast:
When
Arthur Boston is looking for a point in his life, he receives a letter
telling him that his father has disappeared in mysterious circumstances.
Returning to his home on the Dorset coast, he comes to realise that
some of his father's closest friends are tangled up in the mystery of
that fateful night.
