I'm Ben Atkinson and I'm a creative media production graduate (BA Hons Media Production, University of Lincoln) working out of the East Midlands area of the UK. Currently I split my time between working for the University of Lincoln
delivering social media for their Human Resources department, and for the BBC
at MediaCityUK in Salford.
Since 2008 I've been presenting on local radio, launching my own Country Music programme which is networked on stations across the East Midlands featuring guest interviews and sessions from across the UK and America, and cofounding the student station Brayford Radio. I'm passionate about the role of radio in the digital revolution and have created a number of interactive radio dramas, documentaries and apps on subjects as varied as history, tourism and stories for children.
In 2011, I spent six months studying and traveling in the USA and I'm very excited to announce that my new book, a travelogue about my time in America, will be released in late August 2013. In the meantime you can grab copies of my first two novels in paperback or ebook.
I'm always interested in getting involved in new and exciting projects, so if you've got a innovative idea you want to get off the ground get in contact!
